CASA OLEARIA TAGGIASCA

The Azienda is located in Chiusanico, in the westernmost part of Liguria. The area features kilometres of iconic dry-stone walls that for centuries have supported the “fasce”, the terraces that descend to the sea, clad with mono-cultivar Taggiasca olive trees. In 1995, the Ranise family revived the early 20th-century Azienda agricola, abandoned in the 1970s when the entire family moved to the town. By 2000, the olive groves had been reclaimed (eight hectares). The oil has a mild, smooth taste, obtained from the pressing of ‘Taggiasca’ olives. This EVO is the ideal match for refined cuisine, as its delicate aroma does not hide the flavours but exalts them. In addition to extra-virgin olive oil, the Azienda produces tempting specialities made with genuine ingredients and free from colourings and preservatives. Products such as the fragrant pesto alla genovese, creams and sottoli combine ancient traditions with state-of-the-art production methods. Since its foundation, the Azienda has mainly targeted foreign markets. It currently operates in more than twenty-three countries, having acquired considerable expertise in the development of new markets.
