The olive grove stands about 135 metres above sea level, on a hillside with terraces facing the sea, an unspoilt natural paradise with no factories, surrounded by woods and rich wild and spontaneous vegetation.
The varieties are monocultivar ‘taggiasca’ (96%) and frantoio, leccino, moraiolo, pendolino (4%) as pollinators.
The organic production method is by EC Regulation 834/2007.
There is no use of phytopharmaceuticals or other synthetic products to control parasites, and the olive fly is caught using chromo tropic traps.
Fertilisation is carried out using natural organic and mineral products, and water needs are covered by a fertirrigation system during the summer period.
No herbicides on the grassland: the herbaceous species are chopped up and left to decompose naturally.
