AZIENDA AGRICOLA CA SOTTANE

The Maro valley represents the inner area of the Impero valley, which gives its name to the town and province of Imperia. There, in a secluded, ancient rural setting of olive groves, stands the agriturismo Cà Sottane, a short distance from Borgomaro, the Ligurian and Maritime Alps providing a scenic background. This female-run farm was established in 2013: owners Brigitte Bruschi (mother) and Laura Russo (daughter) focused on local vegetables, sustainability and education activities, love for animals and… cucina: Born in Marseille, Brigitte loves Mediterranean scents and ingredients, which she mixes in a symphony of Provençal and Ligurian flavours. She is the winner of the 2019 Ligurian edition of the Agrichef challenge – and this comes as no surprise. EVO is the star of her cuisine. In fact, Cà Sottane provides excellent PDO Riviera Ligure – Riviera dei Fiori EVO, the apple of the eye for Laura Russo, who has recently joined the ranks of young Ligurian farming entrepreneurs.
