We shall now draw some conclusions on the production of olives and oil. Because we have done our calculations like every good Ligurian farmer.
If we consider the farming activities alone, starting from the agronomic support and the work done in the open field, the average production cost of the olives is € 1.70 per kg.
As far as the oil is concerned, the actual cost of producing a 0.5 l bottle of DOP Riviera Ligure extra-virgin oil, including the certification fee, is about € 6.00.
