President Toti and members of the regional council join tourists during activities promoted by the PDO Riviera Ligure EVO Protection Consortium
Excellent attendance figures (mostly young people and foreign guests) for the first edition of “Oliveti Aperti”, the initiative planned by the PDO Riviera Ligure EVO Protection Consortium in collaboration with the Qualivita Foundation and the support of Regione Liguria to narrate the world of heroic olive farming to residents and tourists.
32 businesses organized a variety of activities: dry stone walls workshops, tastings, walks, itineraries, cooking classes, visits of ancient oil mills.
Members of the regional council , too, attended this array of initiatives: President Giovanni Toti in the Levante, Assessori Gianni Berrino and Marco Scajola in Torre Paponi (IM), Assessore Stefano Mai in Arnasco (SV).
A successful programme (inclusive of both a press tour and a contest dedicated to talented hotel school students) which focuses on the stories behind the product: hard toil and wisdom are the rule for men and women who dedicate their life to the safeguard of territories, traditions and food excellence.
