Thanks to the collaboration with the Italian Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Policies and Unioncamere a Google platform is born, showcasing the excellence of the Made in Italy online, and the PDO Riviera Ligure Extra-Virgin Olive Oil Protection Consortium is on it. It is easy to talk about Italian excellences but it’s a long road to promote them. In Liguria, there is however, a true excellence. The PDO Riviera Ligure extra-virgin oil.
The DOP Riviera Ligure Extra-Virgin Olive Oil Protection Consortium together with the Italian Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Policies supplied the material and texts and so the exclusive, captivating, immersive and inquisitive platform was launched online: Google.it/madeinitaly. An online platform designed by the Google Cultural Institute, which makes available a hundred digital exhibitions focused on the productive excellence of Italy. It’s amazing to browse through the views of our olive groves and the dancing silver lights at full screen. To zoom up on the details of the olives or the ancient documents that testify the importance of olive cultivation at a historical level. To glance at old photographs and to read digital texts that focus on the themes and splendour of the Ligurian liquid gold. “In Liguria, the olive tree is Nature itself”, this is how it starts, with 2,000 years of history.
Google and Unioncamere joined forces to promote the digitalization of the Made in Italy companies, with the sponsorship of the Italian Ministry of Economic Development. The initiative aims to facilitate the digitalization of Made in Italy SMEs through the support of 104 young “digitalizers” who will be selected by Unioncamere to be awarded scholarships, made available by Google and Unioncamere, worth EUR 6,000 each.
In order to win a 6 month scholarship, the young graduates or final year students must show their knowledge of business, marketing and management as well as web-marketing oriented digital skills, knowledge of internationalization and proficiency in at least the English language, through a written test and interview.
