A symphony of flavours…with PDO Riviera Ligure extra-virgin olive oil. The Salone del Gusto takes place in Turin from 23 to 26 October, and the Protection Consortium of PDO Riviera Ligure will be there to present its gems: a DOP extra-virgin olive oil from three different geographical areas, as part of a fascinating journey through the choice flavours of Liguria. The Consortium stand will have an olive oil sommelier, so that you will be able to visit Region of Liguria stand in pavilion 1, and experience DOP Riviera Ligure olive oil. Besides the Consortia for the protection of PDO Riviera Ligure oil and PDO Genovese Basil, there will also be the Liguria Regional winery and the Floriculture District of Ponente Ligure. A regular and highly attractive event is planned for PDO Riviera Ligure oil: every day, for the entire duration of the exhibition, a guided tasting session will take place from 12.30 to 13.15. The regional stand has provided a special area for this kind of event, thus making a high impact and educational experience available to visitors: getting to know PDO Riviera Ligure oil in its three geographical versions, namely Riviera dei Fiori, Riviera del Ponente Savonese and Riviera di Levante. Visitors will thus be able to appreciate the particular flavours of the oil, which offers a fruity flavour with hints of almond, pine nut and artichoke. A full range of sensations capable of evoking the Ligurian landscape, with sheer drops down to the sea, dry stone walls and silvery olive trees against a clear blue sky. This exceptional calling card for Liguria, within the international scene of the Salone del Gusto, will be repeated also at the stand of the Ministry for Agriculture, Food and Forestry Policies. With the support of the Italian Association of Geographical Indication Consortia, another appointment on the discovery of quality will take place on 26 October from 6 to 7 pm, which promises to be an exceptional event. All the more important given that PDO Riviera Ligure oil has carved itself a special niche next to many other top Italian food products, from PDO Grana Padano cheese, PDO Asiago cheese, PDO Campana Buffalo Mozzarella and PDO Balsamic Vinegar from Modena. Remember that the Turin exhibition will also be featuring some of the producers of PDO Riviera Ligure oil: Frantoio di Sant’Agata di Oneglia, Giuseppe Calvi e C., Isnardi srl, Olio Roi di Boeri Franco, Ranise Agroalimentare and Sommariva srl. This is set to enhance the visibility of exceptional and authentic Ligurian oil production such as PDO Riviera Ligure oil. See you in Turin.
